DRINK: Amnesia (Atop the Motor City Casino) Image

Bring your camera—memory is a tenuous concept around here. Amnesia puts the “ultra” in ultra-lounge, as in ultra-exclusive, ultra-chic and ultra-view.
“It’s fun to watch people’s faces when they first walk in the door,” says manager Don Perez. “Their eyes go wide, they see the surroundings, they see the skyline and they’re speechless.”
That inability to speak may be linked to the vertigo resulting from Amnesia’s unparalleled view of the city from the 16th floor of the Motor City Casino Hotel, making it officially the highest nightclub in town. But enough rubbernecking, it’s time to drink.
Kick your night off with an Hiatus ($12), a blend of Pama Pomegranate liqueur and P.I.N.K. caffeine-infused vodka that will get your heart rate up in no time. The Blackout ($10.75) is a delicious blend of Hennessey “VS,”  DeKuyper Peachtree schnapps and OJ, but may leave you scrambling to remember the name of that hottie you’re chatting up. And the Forget-Me-Not ($12.75) is the one to watch out for: Grey Goose vodka and Chambord with a champagne float that will go straight to your head at this altitude.Image
